The topics of this program will be: Reduction of high-power radio broadcasting in Russia. Voice of Russia. Pages of history and the sunset of the legend. History of Radio Center in Armenia. It follows that the main direction to Germany, and taking into account the narrow DN of the antenna - about 10-15 g, then in Russia if only the side lobe will get. In Belarus, most likely, too. (via Roger Thauer-D, wor iogr Sept 28, 2024) Re: [bdxc-news] 15235 kHz in Russian. 15235 kHz is mentioned here (in original Russian) in this Sep 24th posting FireFox / Google translates it to ... So, about the ether at 15235 kHz. In the evening and afternoon, there was a strong wind in Armenia. Unfore- seen happened - in the process of restructuring the transmitter to work on the desired antenna, it turned out that a tree fell on the feeder. The specials quickly went to the antenna field, in total darkness eliminated the damage. Therefore, the ether began several times later than planned. The transmission itself went from about the middle, as the server submits a sound file to the transmitter at the scheduled time without amendments to force-major. The audience noticed that there were problems with the sound. He really was a little pumped - the record of the program is to blame, the trans- mitter is not here. During the session, the sound was put in order with the help of a sound processor. By the reception itself. Someone took a great one, someone at the level of noise. The frequency was not very optimal for the evening time. The choice fell on it, since there were already empresses and the data for the rapid restructuring of the transmitter. Due to the half-hour delay, the dark time of the day gained full force at the time of submission of the modulation. Well received in Belarus, Serbia, the Baltics, Izhevsk, Yekaterinburg (this is even very amazing). In principle, the session could be canceled due to force-major, but decid- ed to finalize it and the bonus sounded a fragment of the beginning of the transfer. It's not all going smoothly. It's life. With an earlier-that-day post translated as ... Today, at a frequency of 15235 kHz (Europe 305degr azi, 300 kW) will sound retro-transmission in Russian. Time: 19.05 (+/-) MSK local time. The transmitter will be rebuilt after the previous session, so the session will not go exactly at zero. The station reported with Mayak programming on 22 September was on 17770 kHz (not 17700 kHz, which as you say belongs to Music Wave Radio) Thanks to a post by Roger Thauer on the A-DX list, it seems that the pro- gramme in Russian that I reported on 24 September on 15235 kHz was pre- sumably from Armenia (to Europe 305degr 300 kW) and was a podcast produc- ed by Andrey Molokov in Russia: "Radio Room. Hello, Here is an information about a special broadcast from ORS Moosbrunn - programm will be in German language. Information in German and English: Info sent by Harald Suess from Austria. On the occasion of 100years of radio in Austria, the shortwave transmitter ORS Moosbrunn broadcasts one of the last interviews with Professor Wolf Harranth, who died in the summer of 2021. In this special broadcast, Wolf Harranth, a legend in the world of broad- casting, will give you unique insights into the history of RAVAG (Radio Verkehrs AG) and its significance for Austrian broadcasting. A show not to be missed! Tune in to your shortwave receiver and immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the origin of broadcasting in Austria. This has nothing to do with 6155 kHz. For reference: What is gone now is the antenna marked as 10): A double-sided curtain antenna, one beam almost straight west with up to 300 kW on 11...21 MHz, the other almost straight east with up to 100 kW on 9...21 MHz, both with slewing capability of up to +/- 30 degr. This antenna was no longer usable since a rope broke in 2022 year. The last booking I'm aware of were the NDR Christmas transmissions, 9 MHz to the Middle East, a rather characteristic use (the antenna had been especially modified for that). Still repairing the antenna at this point was of course out of question. The 6155 kHz antenna is 9), if the HFCC data is correct now in use for 6070 kHz transmissions as well. Also still in operational condition are 4), presumably used for the monthly 7330 kHz transmission, and 11) for all AWR transmissions. Everything else is meanwhile gone or no longer usable. A brochure from three decades ago, with all details about transmitters being history now but the detailled notes about antennas still applicab- le. It is interesting to see how they at this time still followed the rule that one word was under no circumstances to appear in connection with the Innsbruck Aldrans shortwave outlet: Suedtirol. It is fair to say that ten years ago nobody would have believed that the ORS Moosbrunn facility would still be operational in 2024 year. The AWR business is part of a package that includes also satellite uplink, which may be a factor. In Oesterreich hoeren taeglich sechs Millionen Menschen Radio. It confirms that the broadcast is broker- ed by Radio Miami International (RMI by Jeff White, ed.) and is coming from TDF Issoudun in France with 500 kW. However, the latest registration states that the start date for this entry is 220924 (24 September 2024), although it has seemingly been on air since 1 May 2024. The registration also indicates that the days of the broad- casts will be Mondays and Thursdays, rather than the current Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is no entry showing for this in the RMI schedule for A24. One to keep an eye on from 24 September. Monitoring since the end of August 2024 on the Siliguri and Dimapur KiwiSDR's in NoEaIndia, reception is very good on 5985 kHz until CRI Swahili starts up at 1558 UT. From 1605 UT, 576 kHz offers fair to good reception after the Yunnan sta- tion has signed-off, whilst 594 kHz is also heard but not so good on these two SDR's. On Fridays, the programme in Burmese continues through to sign- off at 1630 UT instead of English. On two Fridays, 6 and 20 September, the hour was in Burmese instead of English, but for the latest check on 27 September it was in English again. Here are my monitoring observations. (Tony Rogers using the Siliguri and Dimapur KiwiSDR's in NoEaIndia) The programme content in English follows a similar format each day, with the opening announcement and frequencies mentioned (SW 5985 and MW 576 & 594 kHz, also stated in metres), then the news headlines, main news, weather and news headlines again. This is usually followed by announce- ments relating to the "Nine objectives of the State AdministrationCouncil" and the "Five Point Roadmap for the State Adminstration Council", with other announcements of one sort or another (often difficult to follow due to the accent of the presenters). Announcements from UNESCO/WHO are also made about Covid-19 and an "Infode- mic" disinformation warning "... bought to you by UNESCO, WHO and your local radio station". Something is said in Burmese most days, which seems to have a croaking frog noise in the background. A "Public Notice for the Elimination of Violence" usually follows. There is then a music programme consisting of Western pop, sometimes with a theme, such as songs by the same artist or cover versions of the same song. A feature may follow, one recently being about Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Northern Territory, Australia, and a Burmese language lesson has also been heard (the topic being how to order food in a restaurant, and how to complain ...). There then follows a couple more Western pop songs, before the friendly closing announcement "bye, see you tomorrow". The daily broadcast then comes to an end at 1630 UT, signing-off with the National Anthem (with it being 2300 UT in Myanmar). (Tony Rogers using the Siliguri KiwiSDR in NoEaIndia) Thazin Radio {from Phin Oo Lwin northern Myanmar radio station of MRMS, ed.} was heard on 15 September 2024 closing at 0930 UT on 9590 kHz. Originally (2008), Radio Senda Cristiana (The Christian Way Radio), was only on the air via FM (99.9). Koreans had previously assumed that Hirohito's radio speech at noon on Aug. 15, 1945, was the first broadcast informing the public of Japan's surrender, but the VOA announcement was found to have aired four hours before Hirohito publicly delivered his official surrender statement, according to public broadcaster KBS.
